Let us sit down with you and hear your story. We can go over the options that may be best for you in your current situation. Remember that every case is different, and we will respect you and come up with the best plan possible.
Are you wondering what Bankruptcy is?
Bankruptcy is a federal court process that is designed to help you eliminate your debts or repay them under the protection of the bankruptcy court. There are two types of Bankruptcy that we handle: Chapter 7 (“straight” or liquidation) and Chapter 13 reorganization.
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy allows you to request that your debts be wiped out. There is a limit to what personal property you can keep in Chapter 7, but most clients are able to keep all of their possessions, including their cars and home. Chapter 13 Bankruptcy requires you to make a plan with the court to repay your creditors. Some debts will have to be paid off and some debt will only be partially paid…the circumstances depend on your income. In Chapter 13, you will be able to keep your personal property, such as your house and car. At your free consultation we can give you answers about your personal situation.
We can also offer tips on how to rebuild your credit after filing for bankruptcy. Complete the form on your left or call today and ask how: 740-773-9000.
